SUBLIME ENTROPY
MAKE-UP IN PLEXI: Collection of Mom’s make-up encapsulated in plexi case
24” X 7” X 7”
In sadness, there is a kind of beauty. My mother’s personal ephemera, her make-up—invites viewers to explore a visual rhythm that is spontaneous and deliberate, balancing chaos with clarity. Jumbled together, trapped in a layered meditation on decay, resilience, and the aesthetics of sublime entropy. Make-up, both repulsive and seductive, represents the complexity in human beings and the ways in which we “entertain” ourselves and others, addressing the unstable boundaries between fact and fiction.
